Do Interpreters follow a Code of Ethics?

Do I have to hire two Interpreters if the assignment is over two (2) hours?

Yes. Assignment lasting longer than 1 hour of consecutive interpreting requires 2 interpreters.

How can I request an Interpreter

The simplest way to request a sign language interpreter is to fill out our online request form on the next page and either email or fax in your request.

Almalssi provides services 5 days a week. Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are close for lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pacific standard time.  In order to better serve you, we ask that requests be made at least 5 business days in advance.  However, we do welcome last-minute requests, but cannot guarantee that we can fulfill the assignment.

Qualified interpreters can deliver the translation smoothly, accurately, impartially, adjusting to specialized terminology.

What is the role of the interpreter?

Qualified interpreters are facilitators of communication between individuals or groups who are deaf/hearing, conveying the message effectively, accurately, and impartially both receptively and expressively.
